About Ratilio
Ratilio is a collection of free browser-based tools for checking image dimensions, aspect ratios, print resolution and platform compatibility.
Why Ratilio exists
Getting an image ready is full of small, fiddly questions. What ratio is this? Will it print sharply at this size? Will Instagram crop it? The answers are often scattered across help pages and out-of-date blog posts. Ratilio puts them in one place, with tools that give a quick answer you can understand.
What it covers
- Image calculations: aspect ratios and proportional resizing, plus an image checker that reads a real file's dimensions and details.
- Print & DPI: DPI, PPI, pixels to inches and maximum print size.
- Social media: checkers for Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook and TikTok.
Our approach
- Useful before complicated. Each tool answers one question well.
- Explain the result. You see why something passes or fails, not just a verdict.
- Requirements vs recommendations. We label what a platform actually requires separately from what it only recommends.
- No unnecessary uploads. The image checkers read your file in your browser. It isn't sent to us.
- Maintained requirements. Platform numbers are checked against official sources. Each checker shows its sources and the date they were last checked.
